JBF GUWAHATI OBSERVED WORLD RABIES DAY 2022

Digital Desk World Rabies Day has been observed on Tuesday 28th of September
every year since 2010 as an initiative to spread awareness on the importance of Rabies disease.
Based on this year’s World Rabies Day “One Health Zero Death”, JBF (INDIA) Trust conducted
street play performed by Dream 92 Socio-Cultural Society in Guwahati today. The play was
successfully enacted in Royal Global University, Digholi Pukhur and Central Mall. With the
objective of spreading awareness regarding rabies, the street play tried to convey the importance
of rabies day among the masses. “JBF(INDIA) Trust is an animal welfare organization actively
working from Guwahati. The organization’s main objective is to build coexistence of animals
and humans It performs Animal Birth Control surgeries under Humane Dog Population Control
management and administers Anti-Rabies Vaccine to street dogs across Northeast of India while
spreading awareness on animal welfare.“JBF has been rigorously working on the administration
of free Anti-Rabies Vaccine to dogs from the 25th-28th of September, 2022 in Guwahati, Bongora,
Dhemaji, Gogamukh, Jorhat, WilliamNagar and Aizwal in collaboration with other clinics and
organisations to observe World Rabies Day.

The founder and managing trustee of JBF, Dr.
Sashanka Sekhar Dutta stated that JBF has been working since 2007 to eliminate rabies from
the society and to acheive this milestone the organization will work more energetically in the
society.
