Channi should be removed as Punjab CM: NCW on ‘Me Too’ allegations

Digital Desk: NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma on Monday said allegations were levelled against Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi during the ‘Me Too’ movement in 2018 and urged Sonia Gandhi to remove him as CM.

Sharma said, “He’s a threat to women’s safety…Enquiry should be conducted against him.” In November 2018, a woman IAS officer had accused Channi of sending her inappropriate texts.
