Himanta Biswa Sarma visits Kamakhya before filing nomination

Guwahati: Senior BJP leader and Assam finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the Kamakhya Devalaya along with his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma before filing his nomination for the Jalukbari constituency.

The minister was accorded a warm welcome by his supporters on his arrival at the Shakti Peetha. Earlier in the morning, he also visited the Doul Govinda Mandir at North Guwahati.

Sarma will file his nomination papers at Kamrup metro deputy commissioner’s office at Panbazar. He will lead a grand rally from Sonaram HS school field to the DC Office. Thousands of party workers, supporters and political delegates will accompany Sarma while filing his nomination.
