Assam down town University will be organizing its 9th Convocation on 16th September 2022

Digital Desk : The Assam down town University is scheduled to organize its 9th Convocation for the graduating students of the university on the 16th of September at the university campus. His Excellency the Governor of Assam and Visitor to the University, Professor Jagdish Mukhi will be the Chief Guest of the Convocation and shall be conferring the Degrees.

Sri Ranoj Pegu, Honourable Minister of Education, and Welfare of Plain Tribe and Backward Classes, Government of Assam, and Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Former Director General CSIR, New Delhi shall be addressing the convocation gatherings. The Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor shall be presenting D. Litt (Honoris Causa) to the following eminent personalities, viz., Sri Chiranjit Chaliha, Prominent Industrialist, Sri Dinesh Shahra, Eminent Entrepreneur & Industrialist, and Prof. CA (Dr) M.S. Jadav, Noted Chartered Accountant.
Approximately 1300 students comprising undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students shall be awarded their degrees by the Dean of Studies, Chairpersons & Deans of various Faculty of Studies. The programme will also witness the conferment of the Gold Medal to the Best Graduate and Postgraduate students, an Appreciation Award to the Best Placement Recipient, and the AdtU Alumni Award for Inspiring Achievement. The AdtU Award of Excellence in School Teaching shall also be presented to the selected candidate by the honourable Chancellor on this occasion.
