Mamata holds ‘padyatra’ ahead of second phase assembly elections

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a ‘padyatra’ today from Khudiram More to Thakur Chowk in Nandigram. Banerjee is contesting against TMC turncoat and her former protégé Suvendu Adhikari from Nadigram constituency.

The second phase pf polling is scheduled on April 1. The rest of the phases will be conducted on April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26 and April 29.

On the other hand, the first phase of polling in West Bengal Assembly elections got over on March 27 with 79.79% voter turnout.
