Congress disconnected Assam: PM Modi’s attack on Congress

Guwahati: PM Narendra Modi strongly attacked the Congress at an election rally held here stating that the party damaged the state socially, culturally as well as politically. The PM said, “its corrupt and vote-bank based governance had made Assam one of the most disconnected states in India.”

Referring to the development works done by the BJP-led government in the last five years, Modi said Congress has kept Assam divided in every way and BJP tried to connect Assam in every way. ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ is the BJP’s development mantra,” he said.

Legislative assembly elections in Assam for 126 seats will be held in three phases: March 27, April 1 and 6. The counting of votes will be done on May 2.
