Modi reviews COVID update via video conference

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a virtual meet with Chief Ministers of several states due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases in several states.

In his address to the CMs, Mr. Modi stressed that it was important to control what he termed as “emerging second peak” of COVID-19 infections. “The self-confidence that we gained in our corona fight should not turn into overconfidence. Our success should not be the reason for carelessness,” he warned.

He further called for taking decisive steps like management of micro-containment zones and strict enforcements of restrictions.
