Anil Deshmukh: CBI to question today over corruption allegations

Mumbai: Anil Deshmukh, former home minister of Maharashtra, has been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday over corruption allegations levelled against him by ex-Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh. Param Bir Singh, in a letter to chief minister Uddhav Thackeray last month, stated that Anil Deshmukh told now suspended police officer Sachin Vaze, arrested in connection with Mukesh Ambani security threat case, to collect ₹100 crore a month from bars, restaurants, hotels, and other sources in Mumbai.
