Mumbai: Several hundred Sikhs gathered at Nanded Gurudwara for the annual Hola Mohalla after being denied permission by the police.
Sikhs celebrate Hola Mohalla around the time of Holi every year and display their martial skills during the festival. However, due to the surge in the number of coronavirus infections, the annual festival was denied the permission to be celebrated.
On Monday, a huge mob gathered outside the Gurudwara and can be seen kicking away the barricades put up by the police and attacking a handful of on-duty personnel.
