Pyongyang: North Korea has fired two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan. This is the first test by North Korea after Joe Biden came to power as the US President.
Pyongyang is banned from testing ballistic missiles by UN Security Council resolutions considering threatening weapons. Both Japan and South Korea has condemned the test.
Japan said that no debris had fallen into its territorial waters.
The US Pacific command which oversees military forces in the Asia-pacific region said that the test highlighted the threat that North Korea’s illicit weapons programme pose to its neighbours and the international community.
