FIAF awarded to Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan was awarded with the International Federation of Film Archives(FIAF) award by filmmakers Chritopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese via a virtual ceremony last night. The actor was presented the award for his contribution in preserving India’s film heritage.


Mr.Bachchan was nominated for the award by filmmaker, film archivist and restorer Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, who is also the founder of Film Heritage Foundation. Scorsese and Nolan are previous recipents of the award.


The event was live-streamed on YouTube channel of the Film Heritage Foundation and was presided over by International Federation of Film Archives(FIAF) seceretary-general Michael Loebenstein and President Frederic maire.
